The 2006 summer research review was a success! With 59 people from industry and UCSD, CNS hosted its largest review to date. You can view the event planning page here. ALIN DEUTSCH RECEIVES SLOAN FELLOWSHIP
The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has recognized Alin Deutsch with a prestigious research Fellowship! Deutsch's current CNS research focuses on developing a Grid-based processor for XQuery, the World Wide Web Consoritum's standard XML query language. You can read the full article here.

CNS RESEARCH REVIEW

CNS RESEARCHER DEVELOPS NEW WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
Rene Cruz is creating a new wireless system that will enable DSL and cable modem subscribers to share their Internet connections. Mushroom Networks, Inc, founded by Dr. Cruz, is developing an access point aggregator (similar to a Wi-Fi router) that will connect homes or businesses that reside in close proximity.
