Nadia Heninger Named IACR Fellow

CSE/CNS Associate Professor Nadia Heninger
Nadia Heninger, professor in the UC San Diego Department of Computer Science and Engineering and a CNS faculty member, has been named a 2026 Fellow of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR).

Heninger was recognized for impactful contributions to the analysis of deployed cryptographic protocols and service to the IACR and the wider security community. Her research in applied cryptography and computer security has played a critical role in identifying and addressing real‑world vulnerabilities in widely deployed cryptographic systems, helping to strengthen the security of networked and internet‑scale infrastructure.

Election to IACR Fellow is one of the highest honors in the field of cryptology and reflects Heninger’s sustained research excellence, leadership, and service to the global security community.
