Context-aware Middleware of IoT / Tajana Simunic Rosing
Research in SEELab focuses on various application areas of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, providing solutions at various levels ranging from thermal and reliability-aware embedded system control, through context-aware automated middleware processing to optimal distributed control strategies, while keeping the human in the center of the loop. Our current research areas span a broad range such as, user-behavior-aware IoT for healthy aging, context-aware control, optimization, user-behavior modeling and prediction in Smart Grid and Smart Cities, multi-objective optimal flight control of drones with applications in air quality sensing, ad-hoc connectivity infrastructure and emergency support to distant areas and, energy efficient computing and networking in data-centers and wireless sensor networks. In the future, we plan to continue on developing generalizable, scalable and energy efficient solutions for IoT ecosystems.
