The CNS research reviews focus on all areas represented by CNS, including networking, systems, security, and related policy. Attendance at the CNS Research Reviews is limited to industry sponsors and invited guests. If you are interested in joining us for the research review to see what CNS is all about and consider membership, please get in touch with us at cns@eng.ucsd.edu or 858-534-5948.
The agenda includes:
Talks by CNS graduate students and postdoctoral researchers about current research achievements, challenges, and concerns.
Lightning talks by CNS graduate students
Keynote talk “SkySafe: The challenges of tracking every drone in every place,” by SkySafe founder and CEO Grant Jordan. What started as a seemingly simple project to stop malicious drones, has evolved into a massive multi-million dollar (and multi-PhD) effort to understand and track thousands of drone flights in critical airspace. We’ll talk about what it takes to build systems and infrastructure to simultaneously allow the use of drones for good, while keeping out the careless, clueless, and criminal elements.
Concluding remarks and feedback from company representatives.
